How to read big numbers

Once you can write big numbers, you need to be sure you can read and understand them. When faced with something horrible-looking like this…


Children need to be happy to read it aloud, ‘Forty-two million, four hundred and thirty six thousand, six hundred and fifty-six’ and to say the value of the 2 (two million) or the 3 (three thousand).

It’s easy when you know how.
