My daughter has been offered a waiting list place at a highly academic school in town, although originally we planned to send her to a less-academic more nurturing establishment. We don’t know which to choose.
Choose the school with the most inspirational head, but err on the side of the academic school. If your daughter worked hard to pass an exam to get there, she has the ability to cope well once she begins her classes.
Parents sometimes over-protect their daughters and hugely fear being seen to be ‘pushy’. But your daughter obviously responded well to an academic challenge on the day of the entrance exam, and she will do so again.
